I have been healing from my trauma for more than 10 years now.

I started with personal development. Barely scratching the surface of anything real.

Then I got pregnant & everything changed. I did the brunt of my healing while I was pregnant with my daughter. It was a painful experience. It was a worthy journey because I reap the benefits of that healing daily. & So does my daughter.

Within those 10 years of healing and counting, here are 3 powerful lessons I learned that I think every woman needs to know.

  1. The most important lesson that I've learned is the more connected you are to your body, the more aligned action you take! You can do all the mindset work you want, but if you have no idea how to read the signals from your body, you never know if you're taking the right action or not. The best way to be connected to your body is to be present in the moment & feel safe within your body. If you do not feel safe in your body, you can shift that with meditation here.
  2. All the fear that you experience is a signal or a symptom of not feeling safe with what it is that you're doing & who you are becoming. Just because you know you're in the right direction, like everyone says, doesn't mean that your fear disappears by feeling it anyway. If that worked, you wouldn't be here reading this right now. Fear is a felt sense triggered by a nervous system operating from a fear-based response. The more you ease the nervous system, the easier it is to shift out of fear & into faith. The easier it is to shift your mindset.
  3. Action equals healing. The spiritual community has so many people believing that healing happens on the meditation pillow. That's not true. Self-care is necessary & supports your healing. However, action & living create healing. Because it is in the moments of life when you have the options. Am I gonna going to react or respond? You can't do that from a pillow when you're triggered. If you desire support & accountability, check out the Activation Circle here.
  4. Bonus: Work with someone. Find someone you trust, who is aligned, and who is real about their process so that you can step into your Sovereignty, feel deeply connected to yourself, and let go of the chains of the past. If it's me, I welcome the opportunity. If it's not, that's okay as long as you heal in a way that feels right for you!

These powerful lessons took me 10 years to learn. I am giving them to in a blog that took maybe 5 minutes to read if that!
